Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable Legal Counsels to provide expert legal guidance and support on all legal aspects to our organization. The Legal Counsels will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with national and international laws and regulations, resolving legal-related matters, and minimizing legal risks. These roles require a deep understanding of national and international laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide strategic legal advice.
The Legal Counsel roles involve collaborating with the company’s legal team, operating under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Legal to support the department’s objectives and ensure legal compliance across all relevant aspects of the company’s operations as well as those of its partners.
Responsibilities within our team:
Conduct legal research and analysis on various relevant legal aspects of the company’s daily basis operations.
Stay abreast of current national and international laws, regulations, and developments to ensure the organization's compliance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
Provide proactive legal advice on legal-related issues to management and company’s departments.
Independently draft, review and negotiate agreements and other specific documents, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, vendor agreements, services agreements, affiliate and marketing agreements.
Ensure that all agreements reflect the company’s interest, comply with relevant laws and regulations, and mitigate potential risks.
Provide legal assistance while dealing with particular legal tasks, litigations, agreements, dispute resolution and guide company’s departments on rendering the appropriate decision.
Identify and assess potential legal risks related to the company's operations and strategic initiatives.
Provide proactive consultancy to mitigate risks and avoid legal disputes.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
Ensure GDPR and Data Privacy compliance in company’s operations.
Provide legal consultancy on intellectual property aspects, including developing strategies for intellectual property protection and usage.
Required skills and competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited university in law.
2+ years of experience in a similar position.
English – advanced level (speaking, writing and listening)
Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
In-depth knowledge of national and international regulations.
Organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to summarize key points.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex legal concepts.
Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
Orientation towards improvement and professional performance.
Membership in a relevant bar association or professional certification is a plus.
Proficiency in legal research and Microsoft Office suite.
